Totally Rad 80's Wedding

The 1980s, often called "the Eighties," was the decade that began on January 1, 1980 and ended on December 31, 1989 and was the ninth decade of the 20th century.
The Marriage of the Decade
- In 1981, the royal wedding took place at Buckingham Palace in London, England. Prince Charles married a kindergarten teacher named Diana Spencer. This woman was very lucky to have all of those people watching her get married. It was an unbelievable sight at the palace. The queen had a new daughter-in-law, Princess Diana. During the 80's, there were many fads and fashions. For fashion, there was the power suit (for women), Reebok shoes, Rayban sunglasses, and the "yuppie look". If you ever saw your parents wearing "the yuppie look", you would probably die of laughter. As of right now, both Reebok shoes and Rayban sunglasses are still in style. Today, Reeboks are made for men, women, children, and babies But, the Reebok company doesn't only make shoes. They now also make merchandise such as clothes and backpacks. Also, women wore layers of socks, lots of bracelets, pegged pants (a specific way of folding the bottom of your pants), and BIG HAIR, which is now called "mall hair." The C.D. has really changed America. The compact disc was invented in 1980 and is used for many different thingsEntertainment was a very popular thing in the 80's. There were some great movies, such as Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Batman, and E.T. Indiana Jones is a movie staring Harrison Ford, whom also played in the 1970's successful movie series, "Star Wars." Indiana Jones was a series of movies about a detective who went on many dangerous adventures to find someone or something. Batman was a movie about the super hero "Batman" and his evil villains. They were always on a mission to stop the villans from acting badly and saving humans. Batman sequals are still being made today. E.T. was about an alien from outer space who came down to Earth was found by a young boy. He and his sister, the very popular Drew Barrymore, kept E.T. as a secret and introduced him to "Earthling" lifestyles. These are all classic movies that people still enjoy today. Some famous television series in 1980's were both comedies, The Cosby Show and Cheers. Cheers was a very successful show about a group of friends in Boston who sat together at a bar and talked about "real-life" issues. The Cosby Show, starring the famous Bill Cosby, was about a large African American family who also dealt with everyday life situations and decisions. Many people still enjoy watching repeats of The Cosby Show and Cheers on T.V.Other entertainment in the 80's was the famous singer, Michael Jackson and the award winning book, Sarah Plain and Tall. Micheal Jackson has produced and sang more award-winning songs, videos, and performed at the most sold-out concerts than any other musician. The 80's were most definitely a fun, exciting, and entertainment packed decade.

Expensive Weddings ???? WHY ????

Why do people break the bank to have a 30 min ceremony and 3 hr reception ?

As We Have Seen There Are 5 Hot Wedding Trends For 2011 #1 Vintage # 2 Echo-Friendly #3 Modern Choices #4 Do It Yourself #5 Social/ Media Influence. My lens focus this lens will focus on Do it yourself Weddings
Do it yourself" Originally brought on by the economy, this trend is here to stay because it not only saves money, but also adds a special something to the big day. Personalized touches and little details are very important; couples are incorporating their favorite interests, hobbies, places and even sports. My question now is why are brides breaking the bank ? We needed to wait this long until the economy took a dive to realize we should save money and adds a personality to your special day? When people look at a happy bride and groom of modest means throwing a wedding bash that would make Prince William jealous, people - remarking how impressed they are with the couple. We'll .. Not me. I always look at such financially delusional newlyweds and think this: stupid, stupid, stupid .I have to say , is there anything more stupid than people of modest means throwing hard-earned money away on an opulent yet fleeting wedding reception when they'd be better served having a more modest affair and using some of the money saved for things like O' lets see .. Maybe money towards a new house, one heck of a honeymoon to remember, an investment , or shoot ... since they want to throw it away ... maybe help feed world hunger, get homeless of the streets, invest in small businesses and help grow a job market.. Ok .. Ok.. I am not talking about your millionaire who wants to impress there social market. But come on .. Even they are being ridiculous. I am talking about your average families who work hard for there money, maybe mommy and daddy struggled to build there small empire , or even your and your spouse to be. Is it really worth it to break the bank? Put a mortgage on the house, run up credit card debt , sell your soul for this few hours of your life ? I do not deny any woman a day to be a princess but there are so many ways to make it happen without spending $60,000 .. Add all the brides who spent $10,000 and up and how much was wasted . Add in your head by hundreds or even thousands of couples that have done it . Just stupid, stupid, stupid,! For all of future brides- and grooms-to-be, one of the worst things you can do is blow a big chunk of your savings on a big fat expensive wedding. Maybe i am just to cheap or maybe i am just to smart. But i would never spend a huge amount of money on one day. Not even if i was a millionaire. I will not spend over $5,000 even in my client paid me to.. Nope.. will not do it ! There is no need... I have planned beautiful weddings that turned out as beautiful as any other wedding for $1,700 that is from the place, to gown, to everything needed right down to the small details. ( Nothing Used .. It Was All Brand New ) I feel family and friends should pull together in this type of event. What happened to spending time and helping family and friends anyway? Where in our lives did we allow ourselves to be to busy to even be apart of our loved ones lives? What a perfect time to come together and be creative , express some imagination and put some heads to together and donate some time and effort into our loved ones. Learn , research , plan, use your resources to make your dream come true in every way possible but just be smart and creative with your choices. You can cut the cost in half with a little hard work and patience. I myself find resources all the time . dollar stores, bargain stores, outlets, thrift shops, bulk buying , favor outlets, Craigslist, the possibilities are endless. No matter what you spend on your wedding . It is all about the details. Pay attention to every detail and your day will be more than a wedding it will be a life time memory for you and your guests.

Tim Burton's 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' is both a classic Halloween film and somehow twisted extremely romantic movie.

Pumpkin King Jack Skellington. He's been making Halloween happen for many years and is quite good at it. But he's bored and restless, thinking there has to be more. In his obsession he doesn't even notice Sally, the raggedy patchwork girl sewn together by a mad scientist, who is also restless - and longs for Jack's attention constantly.Everything gets strange when Jack wanders off and eventually discovers another town in another corner of their enchanted forest, the town where they make Christmas. He brings back a few of the tchotchkes hoping to understand the warmth that lies in the hearts of this wintry town, but he just doesn't get it.From there, Jack tries to make Christmas for himself, right there in Halloween town, and chaos naturally ensues. Once they kidnap Santa Claus the disaster comes naturally. In the end it's Sally that puts everything right - and finally gets Jack's attention. It is a love story, after all.

Wedding Hair Traditional... or Daringly Different?

It's the most romantic day of your life and certainly one of the most important. A day that is all about you and your loving partner, a day that will be looked back upon and celebrated again and again throughout the rest of both of your lives. And you want to look absolutely stunning ..
It's best to first decide which is more important to you, a certain hairstyle you've always dreamed of wearing on your wedding day, or the style of bridal veil you've had your heart set on wearing. The hair style you choose and your wedding veil must work well together and making this happen can sometimes be a formidable task if not planned well ahead of time. Once you've decided with which to start you can work with your designer or hair stylist to complete the look. If you have first chosen a veil, take it to your stylist at least a couple months before the wedding and work with them to create a bridal hairstyle that complements both you and your headpiece. Keep in mind that you don't want to do anything drastic like cutting, perming or dying your hair so close to your wedding that there isn't time to correct mistakes beforehand. If you are planning a big change do it early enough to leave time to make adjustments if you need to.If you know your dream wedding hair style, have your stylist do your hair in the same style the morning of the day you are planning to shop for your veil. This way you can easily decide what style of headband or tiara design, and length and style of veil, will work best with your hairstyle.

Lady And The Tramp Wedding

This is a Disney movie which is a perfect Fairytale Wedding Theme because it is about two dogs falling in love. These dogs also come from different worlds; Lady is a pedigree and Tramp is a mutt. Also, it has one of the most romantic scenes of the two dogs sharing a plate of spaghetti and kissing when they eat the same

Lady is a snooty Cocker Spaniel from a high-class neighborhood. Tramp is a street-smart mongrel from the wrong side of the tracks. But when their mouths inadvertently come together on the same strand of spaghetti, it's pure magic. How these two pooches come to dine at a little Italian café is a storyline straight out of vintage Hollywood. Beloved by her owners, Lady gets short shrift when a human baby arrives on the scene. Things go from bad to worse a few months later when her owners head off on a trip and the ill-tempered Aunt Sarah arrives to babysit, bringing along two chaos-causing Siamese cats. When Lady gets blamed for their shenanigans, she finds herself in the doghouse, then on the run, where she encounters the rascal Tramp.
